Paddle power to match the speed of the wave and catch them. Volume to build momentum and push over the ledge. Narrow shape puts the rails of the board fully into the wave and helps them hold better. Same goes for the pointy pin tail or a Baby Swallow.Higher speeds need the extra rocker and concaves combined with V's are all about control.
