A Classic Step up for Indo Perfection !Originating as a board for navigating long barrels in Bali and Lombok, the Mini GUN is a direct result of young guys wanting a shortboard performance in waves that require a semi-gun or step-up. Bottom is single concave throughout, a lower rail and extra tail kick make it good driver that still goes vertical. In short, a versatile high performance step-up designed for advanced surfers who want to take their good wave performance to the next level. ShooTiNG SPEAR
Step up from your everyday shortboard and Ulu Shooter, this is a great board to have if you like to surf bigger waves than your shorter boards can handle. If you love Indo Reefs on Bigger Days and also your Home Breaks this is a must have!
It surfs loose but has the extra paddle-power and hold you need in solid surf.
Proven in Indo and at places like Pipeline, Mainland Mexico, Tahiti, Fiji and Western Australia.I recommend that you go anywhere from 2" to 8" up from your shortboard, and add at least 1/8" of thickness (more as you go longer) to help get you in early.It has just the right amount rocker for making step drops. Add touch of extra thickness through the nose for paddle power, and refined rails to give you control where you need it most, in the barrel. You can order the 5-fin option for versatility. Designed for Cinta Hansel to Surf Pipeline in Hawaii and Padang Padang in Bali in 2018 it has become Popular with Surfers wishing to Charge Hollow Waves, Long Pointbreaks and Strong Beach Breaks.A One Board Quiver!
It has the wide point a bit forward of center, but the nose area is kept down and the tail slightly pulled in to help it fit into a tighter curve.The thickness is pushed forward, which helps even more with getting you into waves easily, and the tail and rails thinned out to help hold through barrels and turns at speed.
The rocker is med/low through the front half to get you into waves easily and pick up speed quickly. The Tail has plenty rocker for control turning and snappy turns. Single concave runs through the bottom, with double concave inside the fin area, which allows speed and lift both on a rail and over flat spots while allowing for quick rail-to-rail transitions. Depending on what you want to ride it in we recommend you order anywhere from your height to 8" over, and 1/4" to 1/2" wider, and 1/8" to 3/8" thicker than your everyday shorty.
Stock is a round pin tail, but I can custom make it with any tail you like.
